Interchange Financial Corporation decided to renovate its head office in 2019 after 20 years of operation. Located at the Yonge and Finch intersection, the office underwent a substantial upgrade to its IT and security systems. Three executive offices, a boardroom, six workstations, two washrooms, a secure wallet room, and four private customer service areas were also included in the renovation. To bring a rustic and urban feel to the space, the high ceiling and the use of natural bricks served as aesthetic elements. Despite the aggressive schedule that required substantial coordination with the client, trades, and subcontractors, the project was completed within three and a half months. To minimize the disruption, the front customer service area remained operational while the back office was renovated, with only four days of closure during a statutory holiday. The customer area renovation and fit-out were also completed within a 24-hour working schedule.
